The Music Man, Our Town and Len Cariou Headline Mirror Repertory Company's Summer Season

Mirror Repertory Company and The Greensboro Arts Alliance and Residency announced its summer season, which will include Our Town, The Music Man and a benefit concert featuring Tony Award winner Len Cariou.
Meredith Willson's The Music Man will be staged on the Greensboro Town Green. Directed by artistic director Sabra Jones, the production will star Anthony Wills and Tony Award nominee Marla Schaffel (Jane Eyre, Titanic, Les Miserables).
Performances run July 22-23, 26 and 30 and Aug. 2-3 at 7:30 PM.
"The Music Man, with book, music and lyrics by Meredith Willson, concerns con man Harold Hill, who poses as a bandleader to sell instruments and uniforms to the naïve townsfolk of River City, Iowa before skipping town with their cash," press notes state. "Prim librarian Marian Paroo sees through his scam, but when he helps her younger brother, she begins fall in love with Harold, who risks being caught to be with her."
Thorton Wilder's Our Town will run in repertory through Aug. 4 on the Greensboro Town Green in a 75th anniversary production of the Pulitzer Prize-winning play. Directed by associate artistic director Charles McAteer, the production will star Ron Rand, David Beck and Sabra Jones.
Our Town will be performed July 24-25, 27 and 29 and Aug. 1 and 4 at 7:30 PM.
"Set in the fictional small town of Grover's Corner, Thornton Wilder's Our Town tells the story of an average town's citizens in the early 20th century as depicted through their everyday lives," press notes state.
Broadway and TV star Cariou will headline a concert that will benefit the theatre company's upcoming 30th anniversary season Aug. 17. His stage credits include Sweeney Todd, A Little Night Music, Applause and The Dinner Party. His TV work includes "Blue Bloods" and "Damages."
