Russell Fischer, Janet Krupin, Dan Pacheco and More Set for Lyric Tramp: The Songs of Alex Rubin

Lyric Tramp: The Songs of Alex Rubin, a concert featuring the lyrics of Alex Rubin paired with the music of eight different composers, will be held Dec. 16 at The Laurie Beechman Theatre.

Performers at the 9:30 PM concert will include Lacey Angerosa, Nick Berke, Brett Boles, Nathan Brisby, Max Chernin, Russell Fischer (Jersey Boys), Renée Veronica Freeman (Dreamgirls national tour), Michael Gioia, Sam Heldt, Michael Hull, Tyler Jones (The Last Smoker in America), Kennedy Kanagaway, Geoffrey Kidwell, Janet Krupin (Bring It On, If/Then), Meg Lanzarone (Newsical the Musical), Justin Gregory Lopez (Bare), Tommy Martinez (Newsies), Dan Pacheco (Wicked national tour), Karla Shook, Hernando Umana and Noah Zachary (Dear Edwina).

According to press notes, "New York's hottest composers have gotten into bed with lyricist Alex Rubin for her premiere concert." They include Andre Catrini, Caleb Damschroder, Lizzie Hagstedt, Natalie Tenenbaum, Mark Sanderlin, Tyler Rivera Stein, Bryan Scary and Nadav Wiesel.

Shoshana Feinstein produces Lyric Tramp, which features musical direction by Joshua Zecher-Ross.



Rubin is the lyricist of At the Edge (featuring music by composer Mark Sanderlin), a member of the BMI Workshop and recipient of the Frances Ford Coppola Award for Excellence in Theatre.

The Laurie Beechman Theatre is located at 407 W. 42 Street. Tickets are $18 in advance and $25 (cash only) at the door; there is a $15 food/drink minimum. For tickets, click here.
