Golden Globe nominee Sarah Paulson, known for TV's "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip" and Broadway's The Glass Menagerie, will join Tony Award winner Linda Lavin in Manhattan Theatre Club's Broadway premiere of Donald Margulies' Collected Stories, the tale of an aging writer and her young protégé.

Performances will begin April 6, 2010, at MTC's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre. Opening is April 28.

Director Lynne Meadow, MTC's artistic director, has cast Paulson to play the role of Lisa, the young protégé of Ruth (Lavin). According to MTC, "As their relationship evolves and the line between fact and fiction blurs, their fascinating story comes to a dramatic conclusion."

This is the Broadway debut of a play that MTC had success with in its 1997 New York City premiere, Off-Broadway.

Lavin (TV's "Alice," Broadway Bound, Gypsy) and director Lynne Meadow worked together on MTC's hit The Tale of the Allergist's Wife.

Paulson, was seen last winter in the film "The Spirit." In early 2009, she starred in Rob Thomas' ABC comedy, "Cupid." Paulson's Golden Globe nominated role was in Aaron Sorkin's "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip." She also appeared on TV's "Leap of Faith," "Deadwood," "Path to War" and "Jack and Jill." On stage, Paulson recently starred as Carrie Ann in Alexander Dinelaris' Still Life at the MCC Theatre. Before that, Paulson played Stacey in Mark Schultz' The Gingerbread House at the Rattlestick Playwrights Theatre opposite Bobby Cannavale. In 2008 Sarah starred in the Roundabout Theatre Production of Beth Henley's Crimes of the Heart directed by Kathleen Turner. She originated the role for this production at the Williamstown Theatre Festival the previous summer. She also starred opposite Alfred Molina and Annette Bening in the critically acclaimed Cherry Orchard for the Mark Taper Forum playing Varya. She has appeared on Broadway as Laura Wingfield in the revival of The Glass Menagerie, alongside Jessica Lange. She appeared in The Sisters Rosensweig at the Barrymore Theatre. Her other stage credits include the Off-Broadway production of Tracy Letts' Killer Joe and Horton Foote's Talking Pictures at the Signature Theatre.

The design team includes Santo Loquasto (scenic design), Jane Greenwood (costume design), Natasha Katz (lighting design), and Obadiah Eaves (sound design).
