D'Andrea and Klein's Einstein Project Opens at Berkshire Festival July 4

By Adam Hetrick
04 Jul 2009

The Berkshire Theatre Festival staging of The Einstein Project, starring Tommy Schrider and James Barry, opens July 4.

Created by Paul D'Andrea and Jon Klein, the work is described as "a fascinating look at one of the titans of the 20th century: Albert Einstein. This truly unique theatrical experience seeks to humanize and contextualize a man that we all think we know. Through conversations with his son Edmund and his colleagues, we are able to truly visualize the man who, however reluctantly, ushered in the Atomic Age."

Eric Hill directs the production that began performances June 20 and will run through July 18. Schrider appears as Albert Einstein with Barry as Werner Heisenberg.

The cast also includes David Chandler (A Man for All Seasons), Kyle Faber (Keely and Du), Walter Hudson (Mrs. Warren's Profession) and C.J. Wilson (Festen, The Best Man) as well as Brandy Caldwell, Miranda Shea and Jesse Hinson.

For tickets call the BTF box office at (413) 298-5576 or visit BerkshireTheatreFestival.
