Barrington Stage Company, an award-winning professional theatre in the Berkshires of western Massachusetts, seeks Musical Theater Apprentices to perform in BSC’s 20th Anniversary season. Apprentices have the opportunity to to earn equity points as performers in the Main-stage Equity production of Kiss Me Kate with additional performance opportunities throughout the summer.

For the 2014 season, MTAs will perform in Barrington Stage Company’s Mainstage Equity production of Kiss Me, Kate, with Emmy Award-Winning Choreographer Josh Bergasse (TV's Smash) and headline their own cabaret performances including an evening of original musical shorts curated by famed composer William Finn (Falsettos, The 25th Annual Putnam Country Spelling Bee). MTAs also have the opportunity to take Master Classes led by industry leaders and attend weekly workshops covering a wide variety of theatre-related subjects. Previous Master Class instructors have included entertainment legends such as Christopher Innvar (Floyd Collins, Porgy and Bess), Marin Mazzie (Ragtime, Next to Normal), Jason Danieley (Candide, Curtains) and Debra Jo Rupp (That 70’s Show, Becoming Dr. Ruth).
Program cost is $3000. Housing provided along with additional benefits including free tickets to shows, complimentary gym membership,and invitations to company parties and special events.
