JULIE SCHMIDT comes to the Broadway company of The Phantom of the Opera after performing the role of Carlotta for nearly seven years on the national tour. She has appeared with the Santa Fe Opera, Greater Miami Opera and numerous companies in the New York area. She is mother to twins Isabelle and Kaete and wife to clarinetist Donald Mokrynski.
